This is an old drawing from 2000, but it remains one of the best, and one of my favorites that I've ever done. Graphite completely redone over in black colored pencil. I had started to color in the white ground with a blue colored pencil in his hair and then realized I was about to ruin this portrait. It's on 8.5 X 11" copy paper, because that's what I had around back in the day in high school. I used a photo that was in the jacket of a greatest hits kind of album.

The original drawing is in my personal collection.

Hoshit, Jim Morrison is challenging me to a staring contest! ...Oh wait, he was always like that.

Here's the fun thing about Jim, though: he was played by Val Kilmer, and both Kilmer and Morrison became bloated and large as their careers sank. XDDD
