I drew the outline for this in graphite, then rendered in charcoal pencils and finished with chalk pastel on 18 x 24" 50lb drawing paper. I used no references for this drawing aside from the text in the book; the image is completely manifested as a simplified version of what I saw in my mind. This is the a scene from the book The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice where Lestat and Akasha are cross-feeding.
